My predictions (would like to see others chime in):
Head coach - Bo Pelini
Associate head coach - Turner Gill
Announcemnt - Sunday or Monday
Celebrating to begin immediately following the announcement, closely followed by second-guessing from geniuses on Husker message boards.
Huge Spring Game attendance.
New regime in Strength and Conditioning.
At least 2 other former Huskers to be named assistants.
Huskers reclaim Big 12 North NEXT SEASON.
Anyone else care to play?

Why would Turner Gill leave a head coaching job for an assistant job? If he’s that good he’ll be a head coach somewhere else in a couple years anyway.

Not only is the idea of Gill and Pelini sharing power unrealistic, I think it just assures that one or both of them will leave sooner than they otherwise would have. I want to be able to hand the job to a coach and say “This is yours, and we want it to be yours until the day you retire”. In a power-sharing system, the best we could say is “Uhh, try not to fight with each other in front of the players”.

I didn’t say anything about them sharing power. Bo will be the man. Turner will be #2 with a fancy title. Why would he take an assistant job? It’s a better school/program, he only makes about $195K a year now, he’s family, and he’d be next in line for the job with no questions. Plus, it would reunite Husker nation.

Turner Gill if 45 and Bo Pelini is 39. If Bo stays until retirement than Turner is hosed. I would be very surprised if he decided to do that.

If Bo works out, and stays that long, don’t be surprised to see TG leapfrog him to become Athletic Director.
Nobody else has a prediction of how this will all turn out?
