College World Series Final
The final series is all set. North Carolina vs. Oregon St. Yes, you’re allowed to say “Who?!?!?!” after that. If you would have put money on any one of those teams at the beginning of the year you would have been laughed at. But it is very refreshing to see two new teams and none of the old guard.
North Carolina swept through Bracket 1 beating Cal St. Fullerton, Clemson and Cal St. Fullerton to reach the title game.
Oregon St. had the much tougher road after they dropped their first game to Miami in a big way. They then won 4 straight elimination games. First Georgia, then revenge over Miami and then an impossible 2 straight over the #2 team in the nation, Rice.
If I were to pick a winner right now it would be UNC they’ve played 3 games compared to OSU’s 5. They also didn’t have to play on Thursday since they were the undefeated team, OSU did. But Beaver Fever is sweeping the nation right now and they might be the sentimental favorite.
