90 DOLLARS?!  FOR A SCRIMMAGE!?

That’s right folks, Nebraska has just went from weird to crazy.  Fans are actually paying 90 dollars to watch this Saturday’s spring game.

Honestly, this is way to far.  Its just a practice game.  I won’t spend 90 bucks to watch ANY Nebraska home game.  What is the interest here?

I just don’t get it.

Looks like the price of false hope is about 90 dollars.

Sporting News claims its $95.

And to put this into perspective, Nebraska is not the only one with spring game craziness.

Alabama 2008=78,200 attended.
2007=92,138 (Nick Saban’s
first year)

Alabama charges no admission. I wonder if so many would show up for Nebraska if it were free or back to $3 per ticket.

Florida had 61,000 at their scrimmage and it was nationally televised.

Nebraska fans aren’t so bad.

Fletch says I'm going, and haven't been April 15, 2008 at 1:41pm

I’m going, and haven’t been to one in years. The reason? I am taking my kid. She’s 5. I have no idea if she’ll enjoy it or not, or if she’ll make it thru 1 quarter, or 1 half, or whatever…

In the fall, such a gamble could set me back $150 and I’d hate to leave a game in the middle.

On Saturday, my gamble costs me $20 plus some food. If she hates it, I found out in a cheap way. If she enjoys it, I know for the future. It’s a win/win.

Wisconsin has a charity run before the game and if you want in you have to run/walk first.

Do you think this would work in Nebraska?

Fletch says RE: ? April 15, 2008 at 4:21pm

If all the Husker fans would walk/run before every game, we’d have an easier time fitting in those old bleachers.

No, I don’t think it would work here.

LOL

No you wouldn’t have an easier time fitting in because the Athletic Dept. would just add more people to the rows.  Adding 1 or 2 more people/row could add up if they could do it throughout the stadium.
