In regards to the people that stole weapons from Scheels.
It's high time that the "kids" in this town took responsibility for their actions. This is NOT like getting into a fight with the neighborhood kid or spraying graffitti around town. This is a serious crime and should be treated as such.
The Journal Star, in it's infinite wisdom, has opted NOT to accept comments. And this is the statement that's always there..... "Publishing opinions about the guilt, innocence or character of the accused in open criminal cases can affect that person's constitutional right to a fair trial." when it comes to somehting like this.
Personally, I don't feel that comments regarding this would have an affect. This was an incredibly stupid thing to do. I certainly hope that they get a halfway decent sentence and, at the very least, pay for their crime in a way that they will not soon forget.
