Go ahead, admit it. You're planning to watch Tommy Lee Goes to College tonight at 8:00pm. Oh sure, you claim that you're just watching it to see if you see somebody you know. But I know the truth. You want to watch it. It's ok; it doesn't make you a bad person.
Unless you order the DVD version of the show. That would be pretty weird.

I really wanted to like this show. I really did. Particularly being a UNL employee.
Having said that - God it was truly horrible in my opinion, even by recent reality TV standards. The first segment was sort of amusing when he met Beth Griffin and HP, but after that, it sucked.
My only kudos is to Sony for a nice product placement for the PS 2 (and to NBC for managing to push this idea all the way through production to actually airing this shit - how the fuck did they manage to pull that off…).

I agree with you, though. I, too, wanted to like the show. But five minutes into the thing I was already snoring. What was up with the snooty narrator? And there just wasn’t any flow. I kept thinking, “man, whoever pieced these scenes together had to have flunked Editing 101 at least twice.”
On the plus side, there were some great shots of the UNL campus and the city of Lincoln, and I have word from a couple friends that the show is already generating chatter on various non-Nebraska related message boards. All publicity is good publicity, right?
