The Missus is down and out with some vile illness so I'm juggling work and kids today. I may also wind up teaching pre-algebra at a homeschool co-op unless we can find a different substitute. Considering I've never taught math in my life, that could be pretty awkward. So...
Any pre-algebra teachers out there want to teach a class for an hour or so today?
I know, it's a long shot. I'm off to study how to rationalize denominators ... er, something like that.

They have great, short videos and practice questions.
It’s how I re-learned calculus, statistics, and linear algebra.
Unless Mr. Khan himself wants to come to Lincoln and teach the class, I’m not sure how that helps.
The idea with Khan is that the kids watch the 10 minute video on their own at home, then the teachers help them do assignments in class time. Instead of the other way around when they all sit and listen to a teacher during class and go home and have no help on homework.
Right, but Khan requires an ongoing commitment using that curriculum. This situation involves a class that’s already well into the semester using a completely different curriculum. It’s no different than walking into LPS and trying to integrate Khan in the middle of the semester.
