Two Classics in One Month

Among the news that P.O. Pears is closing later this month, I had forgotten that Kuhl’s was due to close, too. That’s two Lincoln classics gone in one month. Ouch.

Looking at Lincoln’s dining scene today, can you identify any newish restaurants that are likely to be considered “classics” many years from now?

* Tina’s
* Stauffer’s
* Duggan’s
* Green Gateau
* BisonWitches
* Watering Hole

Today’s story says Kuhl’s will auction its belongings, which makes me wonder about the rumor I heard that a new owner was going to take over.

...Yia Yia’s is one of those places that I’m amazed it continues to not just survive, but thrive in Lincoln. Having a beer bar of its caliber in: 1) a city of 250,000 people and 2) a state where the craft beer movement is much smaller than in other parts of the country is an outstanding accomplishment.
