Tom Osborne Field is … Striped?

Brian Rosenthal is reporting that Tom Osborne field is “colorful.” It sounds to me like he’s not a big fan of the new look. He compares the field to Oregon’s football field, which means it looks something like this.

If Boise St. can have Blue “Smurf” Turf, then Nebraska should have Red “Papa Smurf” Turf.

That would certainly be an interesting look. Ugh, can you imagine watching that on TV, though? Reds are notorious for showing up really poorly on television. Husker games would be one big blur.

Then again, that might’ve been nice during the 2004 season.

By the way, how’s everything out there in California, Mr. B, err, Yahoo?
