The Foster Care Review Board has released a new report saying, in short, that child welfare reform has gotten Nebraska exactly nowhere over the past ten months. (The report itself, as far as I can tell, isn't available anywhere online.) Todd Reckling, director of Children and Family Services, has something to say about that:

That is a great clip. Small point of trivia, that was filmed on the Main Street in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Home town of my Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Also the site of an infamous horse race nearly one hundred years ago where family legend says that my Grandfather gambled away his portion of the family farm.
