Have you noticed how the Journal Star is branching out these days? They have the newspaper (of course), and its accompanying website; there are a bunch of podcasts; there are mags like Wheels for You; they've just come out with a new recycling program; and I've been told they're even building a handful of houses.
Ten bucks says a Downtown sandwich shop is next on their agenda.

The recycling thing was a pleasant surprise. I think it’s a great idea.
I’m intrigued by the home building thing and would love to hear the rationale.
I think the recycling thing is “meh” but I am already tired of the ads for it hitting me over the head on every page, and I’d be likely to use another recycling company for that reason alone. It’s just like being a Time Warner subscriber and being hit with stupid Time Warner ads on seemingly every commercial break. ENOUGH. I get it! You have cable and internet and phone and cell phone service coming. Maybe if you focused on the TV part of the business, you wouldn’t see so many people fleeing for the satellites. But I digress…
The Lincoln Turco Star is building houses? For who? Why? Where? First I had heard of this.
Please tell me they will start selling LJS coffee!
