Such a shame. So glad that no kids were in the vehicle. The statistics on this wreck just make me sick.  Assume that the intersection is 24 feet across(12 foot lane width X 2).  At 60 miles per hour the train is traveling 88 feet per second.  Most of us can do the math.  I’d think a minute and a half wait by the guy in the car would have been sufficient.

Correction: 43 feet at that crossing due to the angle.
