I had no idea that Staples had already opened at 50th and O. It seems like that would have made a bigger splash, considering how much trouble it took to get the thing built. Or maybe it did make a splash and I missed it. Either way: Woo! Progress at 48th and O!

I checked it out a couple weeks ago. It’s pretty nice, if you are into office stores. The floor is carpeted, which sets it apart from the others. Nice addition to the area. I’m curious how the folks at Office Depot a block away feel about their new neighbor.
I find it hard to get excited about an office store, when we already have so many that don’t seem to ever be very busy.
Now, the demolition of the old Blockbuster Music building.. that perked my interest.
