Could it be true? Could Centennial Mall finally get some lovin' thanks to a $2 million pot of cash we just happen to have lying around? The Mall has needed repairs and updates for as long as I can remember. Hopefully that fact has an impact on how we decide to renovate the area. That is, keeping it simple is going to be much cheaper and easier to maintain in the long run than trying to knock anybody's socks off. How about some simple paths, plenty of grass, some native plants, and ample formal and informal seating options?

I like your ideas. How about some native grasses and plants that are drought-tolerant as well?
I walk that often for lunch and oh man is it tore up. Would love to see a nice path with no steps for those in wheel chairs (bikes).
As is, the functionality of the mall is horrible. They need to make a large green space on an equal level so people can play sports there, frisbee, etc. Now its just a concrete mess that doesn’t really allow people to use it for much of anything.
Will it end up looking as bad as the native grasses and plants at the Gere library branch? I’ve seen weed gardens that look better.
You could plan zoysia grass at the mall. It’s thick and tough and rarely needs mowing. It’s drought resistant and chokes out the weeds in its path.
where all these are good ideas guys none of it will go Bennet martin will end up ripping most of the hard work out after it builds its new Library there. We need to focus spending the money on other areas to better serve the citzens rather than what paths or what grass and plants this is nothing more than an example of further wastful spending.
