Southside IHOP is now Greenfield’s
Fletch offered up this interesting bit of news today:
BREAKING NEWS… speaking of food, the IHOP at 87th and Highway 2 is no longer an IHOP. It has signs for “Greenfield’s” pancake restaurant as coming soon and now hiring. All the IHOP signage is down, and the awnings have morphed from blue to green.
Thanks for the tip, Fletch! Can anybody confirm if the north IHOP is still wearing blue?

You can read more details about Greenfield’s now at journalstar.com or in tomorrow’s paper. And yes, the north IHOP is staying open.

Kevin is a stand-up guy. I hope it’s successful. It’s a bad corner on that intersection, as it’s not super easy to get in and out of, and unless you are heading straight down the highway, that’s one of the longest lights in town.

I certainly hope this works out, and I’d make the little jaunt from 27th and Pine Lake to that location. I’ve always been envious of cities that have breakfast spots like “The Egg and I” and “La Peep” which I always enjoy. Green Gateau is great, but I’m always out for something new too. Good luck Kevin!
