Senator Johanns?
I noticed that Mike Johanns received a big endorsement today: The Lincoln Journal Star. Johanns is probably a shoo-in to replace Chuck Hagel this year. On NET Television’s Campaign Connection 08, his performance was, in my opinion, the best as well. Having said that, I’d like to see more from Scott Kleeb. Johanns has a big advantage because he is very familiar to Nebraskans, and many will vote for him based on the level of comfort for him that already exists. No one knows much about Kleeb except that he is fresh, good-looking, and part of the Obama phenomenon. Should Kleeb get the democrat nomination, many will look forward to a Johanns-Kleeb debate.

The way elections are going these days, it’s practically time for the 2010 election.

We also know that Scott Kleeb has issues with keeping it under the speed limit. Not that I think speeding is the mother of all sins, but I don’t think it’s smart to have so many speeding tickets in such a short time that you lose your license. Doesn’t set a great example.

Fletch, it’s clearly obvious that all those western Nebraska Republican sheriffs had it in for ol’ Scott.

Johanns didn’t have time to show up for the Lincoln candidate forum a couple of weeks ago. Instead he sent his toady Rich Sheehy. What was he doing that he couldn’t show up?

Perhaps Cobra Commander?
Eric says Johanns not a shoo-in May 15, 2008 at 10:07am
I don’t think Johanns will have an easy time in this election. Kleeb already has name recognition out west, will do well with younger voters in Lincoln and Omaha, and is likely to get more votes than you think from farmers. His walking out on the Farm Bill isn’t going to help his cause…
