Oh sweet. Lincoln now has a "street view" in Google Maps. Check it out. Be sure to let us know if you find any cool photos.

Suh-weet! Now Mr. T won’t even have to leave his house to give us new “Where is this?” photos!

I have not stopped messing around with this since you pointed it out. One amusing thing I’m noticing - the gas prices. This sign looks to be $2.79-ish?
Also - Can anyone tell what date(s) these photos were taken? I’ve narrowed it down quite a bit (down to 3 dates & a time of day at one intersection) by looking at different things around the city. Can’t make out what movies were playing or find a marquee displaying the date yet, but I have found quite a bit of construction and other clues. There must be a way to cheat, but I’m having fun figuring it out! Do they do virtual geocaching on this or google earth??

Heh, I wouldn’t say I’ve been as obsessed as you, but I tried to figure out the date, too. I was hoping a bank sign would be a giveaway, but no dice so far.

i’m not sure what the time frame of their photo shoot was, but the o street viaduct is still there while the stretch between pine lake and yankee hill on 27th is closed. i’d think that should somewhat narrow it down.

The Powerball jackpot was $38 million, according to one sign I saw. That leads me to believe the photos were taken between Wednesday, September 19, and Saturday, September 22, 2007.

Sorry for the long links, but whenever I try to put hyperlinks into my text on here, it gets messed up. Probably something I’m doing incorrectly.
holy cow folk. Nice detective work there.
Wow. Looks like someone spent a few hours in front of the computer. Good job!
Gas prices ranged from $2.87-$2.89. Historic data for Lincoln as gas buddy indicates mid-August, mid-September, or mid-October.
