Our church helps a nearby elementary school with its backpack program.  I would characterize #9 a little differently.  This provides food for school kids who often don’t have breakfast if they don’t go to school, and families who often don’t have a meal if wasn’t for the backpack program.

When a student is worried about whether he or she will be hungry, it’s difficult to learn. If we can remove that concern, we’ve removed one obstacle to learning.
