Foley’s Just Jealous Because He Still Has a PS2

I don’t see what Mike Foley is all hot and bothered about. It seems to me this video demonstrates impressive efficiency from some of Nebraska’s public employees. If only all government moved this swiftly!

What’s the State Auditor doing on youtube all day anyway? wink

Mr. T says OK I haven't watched the February 24, 2009 at 2:22pm

OK I haven’t watched the video yet (I’m at work after all), but I don’t see anything wrong at all with library staff using video games and gaming technology as an educational instrument. This seems like maybe its a generational disconnect between Foley and the youth of today. At a time when more people play “World of Warcraft” than vote in presidential primaries, harnessing gaming technology for educational outreach projects are a good thing.

Harnessing gaming technology for educational outreach projects is most definitely a good thing! This is something happening in countless academic institutions all over the world. The NLC has not only a legitimate right, but a responsibility to stay on top of the evolving face of every new media literacy, be it Rock Band or Youtube.

I hear he is going after a clerk at the DMV who looked at personal email during a lunch break.

Its so hard to find good Rock Band drummers these days.

Oh...and this is the 2nd time today I’ve heard this music played OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER.  It was funny on the Jim Rome show...not so much on this one.

I’m trying to learn to be a good RB drummer. I have high hopes. Right now, I’ve been taking on the tour on the guitar. Lately I’ve been sidetracked by Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman, which I am clearly addicted to. Plus, I have Lego Indiana Jones on the way. God, I love me some Legos.

I’m glad the journal star comments mostly side with the librarians.

Oh, and drumming in rock band is HARD. but I’m getting better. I can now play on medium without consistently failing.

Rock Band party at my house?

Fletch says RE: I'm glad the journal star February 26, 2009 at 1:11pm

I’m a medium guitarist.
