Big news! The fountains in Centennial Mall have been declared a Superfund site. The action was initially discussed after squirrels, rabbits, and birds in the area began giving birth to young with extra limbs and heads. But the straw that broke the camel's back came yesterday when a young child fell into one of the fountains and instantly dissolved. During the cleanup Centennial Mall will be renamed The Mall of Stench and Despair. OK, none of that really happened. But give it a few months. It's coming.

yeah I work in the Capitol and walk down the mall to OSO every now and then.  I completely agree.

Plus riding your bike headed south there sucks.  Gota be hard for those in wheelchairs.

Okay…lost me here. I know that the U has some involvement in a pesticide clean up site next to an old ammo dump, but is there a run on the U now for cleanup stuff? Id figure if anyone was making a run on someone that it’d be because of Lincolns need to declare the whole city blighted. Lincoln LOVES to pay people to bring their development here rather than the development paying for itself because Lincoln is such a great place. And then with the State and LB775 pitching in their own particular form of ‘assistance’...it kind of calls into question the whole reason there is development here at all. If we bribe them to come all the time, what is the point. I thought that there was supposed to be some return backscratching here, but I must have missed it.
