Election Day is Here

By: Mr. Wilson on May 1, 2007
After months of build-up, election day is finally here. Will you vote? Who (and what) will you vote for? I was afraid I wouldn't be able to vote, but it now looks like I will be able to sneak to the polls between work and my soccer match tonight. I'll just need to be quick. I had hoped to have the time to write a big article about the various races and my opinion on the best choices in each. Unfortunately, I've been swamped lately. So no sage advice from Mr. Wilson today. I will say that there's no way I can vote for Allan Abbott after hearing his mean-spirited and just plain awful attack ad on the radio this morning. It probably isn't fair for me to single him out today, but boy, his ad really ticked me off.

I do it for the sticker oh and something about democracy yadda yadda…

Then I take the sticker home, put it on my dogs head, snap a picture, then pull it off and get some of them ready to be shed hairs off.  Its a win win win type situation.

I have not heard any campaign ads. No TV and an mp3 player have cut out much of the advertising from my life. Around election time, I’m soooo glad.

I’m hoping we can ditch work a little early and beat the rush. My polling place is rarely super crowded, though.

I have had a few people say they are really mad that Svoboda went negative.

Although Beutler made a few jabs he did not sink too low.  The good thing is the letters to the editor will concentrate on other things now.

If you don’t want a volcano to erupt and bury Lincoln in lava and consume your children, grand children and property, VOTE SVOBODA!

Ken Svoboda lost my vote as well as two of my co-workers when I was called by his automated advertisement ON MY CELL PHONE! Who the hell sold my info to his campaign??

I don’t care who votes for whom as long as they vote.
I really wish there was some way to make all the non-voters realize how much they put their lives and their country in danger by not voting.
If an up-and-coming dictator type had enough support it would be so easy to just get his/her followers to vote and there we’d be.  Granted, it’s not that easy, but it could sure be a starting point to the loss of our country and the “free"doms we do have.
Unfortunately those who don’t vote probably don’t read either.

Glad to see Neal finally coming to his senses.

Elections must mean a lot to you if you choose not to vote for a candidate based on an automated call to your cell phone.  Either that or you’re just jumping on the Hate-Svobs bandwagon going on here to be cool like the rest of the kids on the bus.

Neal did forget to mention the plagues and the locusts. Two more good reasons to vote Svoboda.
