Contrary to the implications in the article, LES are not heroes for dropping a surcharge imposed upon its customers because they couldn’t figure out how to deal with an ice storm. The only way they can come close to redeeming themselves is if some of the $4 per month went to hiring someone who can negotiate power prices and deal with adverse weather better.
