Below are a series of crossword-style clues. How many answers can you figure out?

3 is right, 7 is not (although the number of letters fits). There’s an answer for 7 that better fits the theme of the puzzle.

Yep. It took me forever to come up with a clue for that. I figured a doorstep is often a wedge of wood.

...but yeah, not the best clue.
