Carmela’s is Open
I know almost nothing about it, but I hear Carmela’s Bistro and Wine Bar is open at 70th and Pioneers Boulevard. Our insurance agent told The Missus that he was headed to Venue the other day, but instead went to Carmela’s when he saw it was open. He described it as American with a bit of an Italian flair. He said it reminded him of Vincenzo’s, but less Italian-y. He said it was one of the better dining experiences in Lincoln.
With that brief, second-hand introduction in mind, let us know if you visit Carmela’s. Or maybe you haven’t been there but you know more about it. Please share.

A chef friend of mine went there the other day. He said his fish was nearly burnt beyond recognition, but the wine selection was good. I might give it a try myself yet.

I went to Carmela’s last night (friday night) and loved every minute of it. The bistro is small and quaint, the lighting is fantastic and the food out of this world! And i had the Salmon and it was moist, cooked perfectly and the plate presentation was superb. We had the privalage of sitting outside on their beautiful patio. The atmosphere was great! They had cute little lanterns on all the tables and great soft rock music playing, and our server was very charming and knowledgeable about the wine list. I give our experience a 10 plus plus!! And we plan on returning Saturday evening with a group pf friends. As for the burnt fish comment.....Try them again, my fish was delice!!!!

i was driving past today and it caught my eye. i did a double-take and then decided that i will be doing a restaurant review soon… maybe next monday?

I can’t find ANY information about this place online. I wanted to see if they had an online menu or website or something.
