According to @GrowLincoln, Blue Orchid is planning a second location near 18th and Pine Lake. They'll have the same menu but perhaps a different name. Thank goodness the location isn't any closer to me or ... ugh, I shudder at the thought of how many times I would eat there each week.

They also said Windchimes closed. I was so excited when they opened, as it was just a couple blocks from my old place. Then I ate there, and found lima beans in the fried rice. Who does that?
Somebody told me today that the owner of the Thai House is retiring this summer. I don’t know if that means it is closing, changing hands, or just under new management, but I love that place and would hate to see it close.
Oh wow, that’s big news. I still haven’t eaten there, but most Thai fans in Lincoln seem to think Thai House is the bee’s knees. I guess I’d better get there soon!
So far their staff either do not know about this or have been told to keep it quiet. Cause none of the staff down there knew anything about it. So we shall see.
Maybe they are branching out, but not in name. Could be that the owner of Blue O 1 is giving a leg up to someone in the management/ownership of “Blue O” 2.
I stopped by today and the Thai House is not changing hands. It is closing on June 2. :(
The Asian market that shares half of the building with the restaurant is going to expand into the restaurant space and occupy the entire building.
