All Politics is Local?

See, even Lincolnites want to engage in important national debates: You may not have had an opinion of Property Management, Inc. before, but I'll bet you have an opinion now!

There are several local businesses that feel it necessary to make their political/religious views known, and I just don’t get it. It will very rarely do any good, and more often make people dislike you. I have several businesses I don’t frequent because they’ve made their political/religious/personal views perfectly clear, and I have plenty of options as to where to shop.

There is a used kids clothing store that I didn’t shop in much before they moved out of my area of town. When I did go in there I always felt uncomfortable because radio that was chosen to play over the store speakers was conservative talk radio. I’m all for people having their views but to me, playing argumentative radio no matter which side it leans is not a wise idea. You risk alienating half of your customer base. When I did go in there, I didn’t take time to browse because it was a tense environment. Smooth jazz may have been a better choice.

Well, the chap in the window looks like a peaceful sort.
