An Omaha woman was sentenced to 90 days in jail for prostitution in Lincoln. Nothing very remarkable about that, right? Except check out the comments on the story. I'm surprised by how many of the commenters either: a) think it's silly that prostitution is illegal; or b) think this case is an example of entrapment. I guess I thought Nebraskans had more of a knee-jerk anti-prostitution reaction. To see so many of the early commenters direct their mockery to LPD rather than the woman surprised me.

My first reaction was “isn’t there a better place to be a prostitute than Lincoln, Nebraska?”
The people who comment on the LJS website don’t represent Nebraskans in general. For example, read the comments to the story about Ernie’s last session. There are people who want to guild Ernie and replace the sower with him. The stereotype that Nebraskans are a bunch of redneck bible-humping white people doesn’t apply to people who surf the web and respond to news stories.
Depends on which story you’re reading.
They should automatically delete comments with more than one exclamation point.
