A Haiku for Web Developers

I realize the audience for this is relatively small, but after yesterday’s headaches and heartaches I have to get this off my chest:

MS IE 6
Oh how I despise your ways!
Please die already.

Thanks to your nagging, I am pleased to tell you that I stopped using it a few weeks ago. I made it all the way to IE 7.

Woohoo! But if I may ask, why not go to IE8, or better yet Firefox, Chrome, or Safari?

It’s a long story. A) I don’t trust IE8 yet. I keep reading it’s crap (or crappier than IE7).

I work on a web-based CRM that unfortunately really works best on IE and not the others.

I actually use Firefox quite a bit for surfing, but I need IE open all day long to “work.”

I have not yet tried Chrome, and I despise Safari without ever trying it because I hate the way Apple forces its software and updates on me.

BEST WEB BROWSER HAIKU EVER! I wish Microsoft would at least use a gecko or webkit engine.

Erik says Funny you mention this: today September 2, 2009 at 10:55am

Funny you mention this: today I saw that Microsoft if you upgrade to IE8 they will donation, but will double it if you switch from IE6.  That’s a charity I can believe in.

hee I was going to post about the donation as well.  I guess Microsoft hates IE6 as much as we do!

macappleteacher says BryanLGH still uses the browser September 2, 2009 at 4:46pm

BryanLGH still uses the browser on most of their computers. Such a drag. We got a set of “new” toughbooks not to long ago...I was hoping for something better...but no. Still dragging.
