20 Questions: Mother’s Day Edition
By popular demand, it’s time for another round of Twenty Questions! Today’s topic: what The Wilsons did in Lincoln on Mother’s Day. Don’t forget the rules:
- The answer is related to Lincoln.
- The questions should be worded so they generate a yes/no answer.
- Each person may ask one question at a time. After your question has been answered, you may ask another one.
- Ask your question as a comment to this blog post. Do not ask your question as a reply to another comment (i.e. a “nested comment")
- Feel free to “talk amongst yourselves” by indicating that your comment is not an actual guess.

Was it something at a place away from your home?

Yes.

No.

Hrmmmm non-eating indoor mother’s day activities...Star Trek movie perhaps? Or bowling? Shopping?
Fletch says RE: Outdoors? May 11, 2009 at 11:06am
Commenting out loud with Nikki. I have a kid Robbie’s age - not sure I’d endure taking him to a movie, and wouldn’t leave him out of Mother’s Day festivities. Bowling would leave only Parkway. Shopping is right there. There’s the library. There’s the Valentina’s thingie at 27th and Highway 2 - fun and games, and I guess you wouldn’t have to eat.
Fletch says RE: Outdoors? May 11, 2009 at 11:15am
Still thinking out loud with Nikki and friends…
There’s also Lost in Fun at 14th and Yankee Hill Road, and the indoor playground near the Children’s Zoo (not sure if it is open on Sunday). The museum is out since it is North of O.
There’s the Bison indoor soccer place as well - maybe Mr W hasn’t had enough soccer lately. LOL
Nikkidemas says RE: Outdoors? May 11, 2009 at 11:20am
Just thought of another good Mom’s day activity: Paint Yourself Silly - the 70th St. location is south of O.
Fletch says Were you south of O May 11, 2009 at 10:27am
Were you south of O Street?
Mr. Wilson says RE: Were you south of O May 11, 2009 at 10:35am
Yes.
West A Dad says (Silly comment, not a guess) May 11, 2009 at 10:44am
He went down to the Triple Rock and heard what Rev. Cleophus had to say.
Nikkidemas says NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 11:25am
Ok one more idea (if THIS counts as indoors)
Fletch says RE: NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 11:51am
I like that. I’d guess it.
Mr. Wilson says RE: NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 12:00pm
More guessing, less chit chat!
Nikkidemas says QUESTION #6 May 11, 2009 at 12:02pm
Here goes: Was it THIS?
Mr. Wilson says RE: QUESTION #6 May 11, 2009 at 12:12pm
No.
Fletch says RE: QUESTION #6 May 11, 2009 at 12:20pm
I thought it was a good guess. Seemed like a non-traditional Mr. W kind of thing to do. LOL
Fletch says Were you north of Highway May 11, 2009 at 12:20pm
Were you north of Highway 2?
Mr. Wilson says RE: Were you north of Highway May 11, 2009 at 12:21pm
Yes.
West A Dad says Question #8 May 11, 2009 at 1:22pm

TrixieDelicious says Bike Ride! May 11, 2009 at 2:42pm
Did you hit the trails for a nice Sunday bike ride?
Mr. Wilson says RE: Bike Ride! May 11, 2009 at 2:52pm
No.
(I know you sort of rescinded this guess below, but I’m going to count the guess anyway because I’m
meanconfident you guys will get to the right answer in time.)TrixieDelicious says Oh yeah, that outdoors part.Hrm. May 11, 2009 at 2:43pm
Oh yeah, that outdoors part.
Hrm.
Fletch says Thinking out loud... so, south May 11, 2009 at 2:57pm
Thinking out loud… so, south of O, north of Highway 2, and east of 70th street. That rules out much of the indoor fun activities we had casually discussed. Were there any concerts or plays or anything at the churches or schools along that corridor that anyone would know of? I guess that the one Paint Yourself Silly would still fit in here, at 70th and Pioneers. There’s that gymnastics place on Pioneers, but I don’t know if they do parties or events or anything.
West A Dad says Still thinking out loud. May 11, 2009 at 3:01pm
I’m thinking Mrs. Wilson was taken somewhere in the boundaries established and something was purchased for her. Like maybe a nursery or garden center? What say you Fletch?
Gene says RE: Still thinking out loud. May 11, 2009 at 3:25pm
Thought of that as well.
Fletch says RE: Still thinking out loud. May 11, 2009 at 3:36pm
I thought of that, too. I would consider a garden center to be outside.
West A Dad says RE: Still thinking out loud. May 11, 2009 at 4:08pm
True, I was thinking inside Earl May.
Nikkidemas says NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 3:55pm
Yikes - I hope it wasn’t a hospital visit!
Fletch says RE: NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 4:19pm
Maybe we should keep narrowing it down by location. East of/North of, etc.
Gene says RE: NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 5:36pm
Maybe a movie? There’s Edgewood theatres within our boundary.
Fletch says RE: NOT A GUESS May 11, 2009 at 8:12pm
Gene, Edgewood is west of 70th Street. No theaters remain in our boundary.
Gene says RE: NOT A GUESS May 12, 2009 at 7:55am
Ah, I missed that one.
West A Dad says Question #11 May 11, 2009 at 4:26pm

West A Dad says Question #13 May 12, 2009 at 7:21am
Was it “Paint Yourself Silly”?
Mr. Wilson says RE: Question #13 May 12, 2009 at 8:05am
Yes! Good work, West A Dad! (With a little assistance from Nikkidemas.)
The Wilsons spent Mother’s Day afternoon at Paint Yourself Silly in the Pioneer Woods shopping center at 70th and Pioneers. Robbie painted a coffee mug for his mom.
West A Dad says Props to Nikkidemas May 12, 2009 at 8:10am
She should get all the credit. It was a logical choice for me after the answers to the 70th Street and South Street questions.
Nikkidemas says Woohoo! May 12, 2009 at 8:57am
Nah, I didn’t have the courage to guess it
I love this game!
Fletch says RE: Woohoo! May 12, 2009 at 9:01am
Well done, everyone!
