See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
Was it something at a place away from your home?
Yes.
Did it cost money?
Yes.
Did you eat?
No.
Was it outdoors?
No.
Were you south of O Street?
Yes.
He went down to the Triple Rock and heard what Rev. Cleophus had to say.
Hrmmmm non-eating indoor mother’s day activities…Star Trek movie perhaps? Or bowling? Shopping?
Commenting out loud with Nikki. I have a kid Robbie’s age - not sure I’d endure taking him to a movie, and wouldn’t leave him out of Mother’s Day festivities. Bowling would leave only Parkway. Shopping is right there. There’s the library. There’s the Valentina’s thingie at 27th and Highway 2 - fun and games, and I guess you wouldn’t have to eat.
Still thinking out loud with Nikki and friends…
There’s also Lost in Fun at 14th and Yankee Hill Road, and the indoor playground near the Children’s Zoo (not sure if it is open on Sunday). The museum is out since it is North of O.
There’s the Bison indoor soccer place as well - maybe Mr W hasn’t had enough soccer lately. LOL
Just thought of another good Mom’s day activity: Paint Yourself Silly - the 70th St. location is south of O.
Ok one more idea (if THIS counts as indoors)
I like that. I’d guess it.
More guessing, less chit chat! 😊
Here goes: Was it THIS?
No.
Were you north of Highway 2?
I thought it was a good guess. Seemed like a non-traditional Mr. W kind of thing to do. LOL
Yes.
Were you east of 40th Street?
Yes.
Were you west of 70th Street?
No.
Did you hit the trails for a nice Sunday bike ride?
Oh yeah, that outdoors part.
Hrm.
No.
(I know you sort of rescinded this guess below, but I’m going to count the guess anyway because I’m <strike>mean</strike> confident you guys will get to the right answer in time.)
Thinking out loud… so, south of O, north of Highway 2, and east of 70th street. That rules out much of the indoor fun activities we had casually discussed. Were there any concerts or plays or anything at the churches or schools along that corridor that anyone would know of? I guess that the one Paint Yourself Silly would still fit in here, at 70th and Pioneers. There’s that gymnastics place on Pioneers, but I don’t know if they do parties or events or anything.
I’m thinking Mrs. Wilson was taken somewhere in the boundaries established and something was purchased for her. Like maybe a nursery or garden center? What say you Fletch?
Thought of that as well.
I thought of that, too. I would consider a garden center to be outside.
Yikes - I hope it wasn’t a hospital visit!
True, I was thinking inside Earl May.
Maybe we should keep narrowing it down by location. East of/North of, etc.
Was it north of South Street?
No.
Maybe a movie? There’s Edgewood theatres within our boundary.
Was it in Eagle?
Gene, Edgewood is west of 70th Street. No theaters remain in our boundary.
No.
Was it “Paint Yourself Silly”?
Ah, I missed that one.
Yes! Good work, West A Dad! (With a little assistance from Nikkidemas.)
The Wilsons spent Mother’s Day afternoon at Paint Yourself Silly in the Pioneer Woods shopping center at 70th and Pioneers. Robbie painted a coffee mug for his mom.
She should get all the credit. It was a logical choice for me after the answers to the 70th Street and South Street questions.
Nah, I didn’t have the courage to guess it 😊
I love this game!
Well done, everyone!
