20 Questions: Cuz Nikkidemas Asked For It Edition

By: Mr. Wilson on December 17, 2010
Nikkidemas asked for it so here it is. Another (long overdue) round of 20 Questions! [applause] Now, there's just one downside to me doing this today: there will be a couple interruptions in my responses -- one this morning, one around noon -- because I have a couple errands to take care of. Nevertheless, I decided to go ahead with the game anyway because gosh darn it, it's a fun time. Now, remember the rules:
  1. The answer is related to Lincoln.
  2. The questions should be worded so they generate a yes/no answer.
  3. Each person may ask one question at a time. After your question has been answered, you may ask another one.
  4. Ask your question as a comment to this blog post. Do not ask your question as a reply to another comment (i.e. a "nested comment")
If you haven't played before, here are some examples to review: Snow Day Edition; Winter Solstice Edition; Mr. Wilson's Vacation Edition. What we know so far:
  1. I don't know if it is west of 27th Street.
  2. It is not government related.
  3. I don't know if it is on 27th Street.
  4. It is something a person can touch.
  5. It is a person.
  6. The person is not "famous" outside of Nebraska.
  7. The person is not closely related to the University of Nebraska.
  8. The person is male.
  9. The person is alive.
  10. The person is not regularly on television.
  11. The person is not a media personality.
  12. The person works in the private sector.
  13. The person's job is food or restaurant related.
  14. The person has more than one Lincoln location.
  15. The person does not own a chain of grocery stores.
  16. The person does not own a restaurant in the Haymarket.
  17. The person owns a burrito joint and a high-end establishment.
  18. It is Nader Sepahpur, owner of Oso, Yia Yia's, and Marz!
Thanks for playing, folks!

My apologies for the nested comment, but I am unable to post a reply to the original post.

Me neither!  I just emailed Mr. Wilson about that.

Give commenting another try. I tested it just now and, well, it works for me. So either it magically fixed itself (yay!) or I need to do some exploring.

Oh!  Never mind. 😊

Mr. Wilson
December 17, 2010 at 7:36PM

So you can post replies but not root-level comments? That’s ... that’s just weird. Color me baffled.

avabee
December 17, 2010 at 7:36PM

Weird, I can still only post in certain places.

Is it a person?

Nikkidemas
December 17, 2010 at 7:39PM

@Avabee that’s the question I’ve been trying to ask anyway! 😊

Mr. Wilson
December 17, 2010 at 7:41PM

OK boys and girls, I fiddled a bit. Let’s see if it worked. Give ‘er a whirl.

Nikkidemas
December 17, 2010 at 7:53PM

Hmmm, not gov’t-related, so it can’t be a local politician…

Kevin
December 17, 2010 at 7:59PM

Is the person known outside of Nebraska?

Mr. Wilson
December 17, 2010 at 8:10PM

6. No*

* NOTE: I’m interpreting your question as: “Is this person famous (or ‘famous’) outside of Nebraska?”, a narrower question than what you actually asked.

Peter

Mr. Wilson
December 18, 2010 at 6:09PM

17. Yes.

avabee
December 18, 2010 at 6:33PM

Then it’s Nader (Nadir?) who owns Billy’s and Oso. 😊

avabee
December 18, 2010 at 6:42PM

Google tells me his full name is Nader Farahbod.

Mr. Wilson
December 18, 2010 at 6:44PM

I may have misinterpreted what you were after when you said “high-end restaurant”. I was being “generous” in my interpretation.

Do some research before firing out a final answer. You’ll understand why after you fact check a bit 😊

avabee
December 18, 2010 at 9:10PM

I’m coming up with Nader Sepahpur this time.  Owner of Oso, Yia Yia’s and Marz.  For some reason I thought this was the same Nader who owned Billy’s, but I may have been wrong all along?

Nikkidemas
December 19, 2010 at 11:27PM

I think you’ve got it

Mr. Wilson
December 20, 2010 at 1:53PM

So who’s going to step up and make an official guess? 😉

Nikkidemas
December 20, 2010 at 2:44PM

Is it Nader Sepahpur?

Mr. Wilson
December 20, 2010 at 2:58PM

18. It is Nader Sepahpur!

I didn’t think you folks were going to do it, but stumping you is really darn hard.

I should explain #17. I was trying to be generous by assuming that the “high-end restaurant” was Marz. I didn’t realize there was some Nader confusion going on. To be clear: Nader F = Billy’s, Nader S = Oso / Yia Yia’s / Marz.

I’ll stump you guys one of these days!
